Cherish the time spent together

Hi all,

The layout I am sharing with you today is a special one to me. The photo is of my uncle, dad and my Nonna (grandma) Mary. My Nonna, as we call her, is 87 in a couple of weeks. She has dementia and is now a resident at our local hospital. She can no longer speak, and just looks at you with this blank expression on her face. It is so heartbreaking seeing her like this! She was pretty much a second mum to me, my sisters and cousins growing up. Now it is our turn to feed and look after her.

This photo was taken on Christmas Day 2008. Nonna was in her glory with all the grand kids and great grand kids around her. She had a constant smile on her face.
Today I went to visit her and put a copy of this layout on her cupboard right next to her bed where she can see it.

Now, about the layout.

Scrap Therapy had a Cybercrop on the weekend. I made this layout based on Sandra D's sketch for challenge 3, but have added more flowers to it since uploading into the ST gallery.

I have used My Minds Eye Just dreamy 2 papers, Prima flowers and say it in crystals flourish, brads, Fiskars border punch, jumbo leaf punch, Kaisercraft quote on vellum and other bits and pieces from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Balloons

This card was an order from a customer for a 21st Birthday.
The stamp is from Artful stamper and it was water coloured using Tombow watercolour
pens and a aqua brush pen. I love these colours together, very girly!

The balloons are mounted on foam tape and the wings of the butterflies have been popped up using Glossy Accents. The balloons are also dusted with crystal glitter.

Puppy Love

My first layout for my blog is 'Puppy Love'.

The photo is of my youngest daughter Sarah. Her and our dog Roxy have a special bond.
They are always cuddled up together and Roxy just followers here everywhere. This is one of many photo's I have of the two of them together. They even jump on the trampoline together and play hide and seek.

I have used My Minds Eye Pretty Please papers's, brown flora, stripes, blossoms and pretty please accessory sheet, KaiserCraft wood flourishes, Bo bunny flowers, brads and kindy glitz. Have also used sheer blue organza ribbon under my flowers and 'tried' to make a butterfly using white ribbon and wire. I made this layout for Scrap Therapy's cyber crop challenge 3.

Here is a close up of the flourish, flowers and ribbon butterfly.

More sympathy cards

What a week! I have had this week off work to recover from minor surgery. Feeling pretty good today. Not looking forward to going back to work next week, it has been nice having a bit of time at home, and to catch up with friends for lunch.

A close friend lost his father this week, so it has been sad for so many.

Today I am going to share with you the sympathy cards I have made to give to the family.
The images are from Stampin up.
Hope you all have a nice weekend!

BG Urban Prairie butterflies

Another set of cards using the Basic Grey Urban Prairie range of papers & KaiserCraft rubons.
This butterfly paper is so cute, you can do so much with it! The blue and pink papers are also from that range.
The swirls on the tall card have been pierced with a pricking tool.

I'm going to go outside now and soak up some of the beautiful sunshine! It is a beautiful
warm winters day up here today. Hope the rest of you aren't too cold!

Flower Pot card

I made this card for a friend who has breast cancer and is currently going through chemotherapy! She has been quite ill with her treatment and this card was made to help brighten her day.

This is what the card looks like closed.

The following image shows the little message hidden in the pot.

First cards for my blog

Here is a set of cards I made for a challenge on the Scrap Therapy Web site.
This months theme is "once upon a time". This was my take on challenge 4. Another set of cards here using the new My Minds Eye 'Bloom and Grow' pattern papers and Kaiser craft Friendship rubons.

On this card I have used the Spellbinders Labels 4 die. I just love the shape of this die!

My first post!

I have finally taken the step into the world of blogging!

I have no idea what I am going to blog about, but thought I'd give it a go!
It'll be somewhere to share my creations.

Still have to figure out how do decorate and customise it, but I will get there.
